Roast & Ritual was born in 1987 in a tiny shopfront in Thamel. Back then, specialty coffee in Kathmandu was nearly unheard of. Priya had just returned from a year traveling through Ethiopia and Colombia, carrying notebooks filled with tasting notes and a dream.

Today we work directly with 12 farming families across Ethiopia, Guatemala, Indonesia, and Nepal. Every bean is traceable. Every roast is done on-site in small 5kg batches. Nothing sits in a warehouse.
